Dr. Scott S. Elliott
Principal and Founder
Scott Elliott is well known globally for his experience in high-tech and electronics design, manufacturing and supply chain management. With over 25 years of engineering, management and consulting experience, Scott brings unique, practical insight to all aspects of technology business, including business strategy alignment, supply chain management, world-class manufacturing and R&D management. He has the technical breadth and depth to understand any technology, and the business and management experience to make it a commercial success.
Scott has founded and/or managed small companies and major functional groups in large companies. Small companies have included Physical Electronics Laboratories, Addington Labs, AssistClick, Inc. and Chelix, Inc. Interim CEO or COO and assignments have included PetaComm, Inc. (Sunnyvale, Ca.) , InventQjaya Sdn. Bhd. (Malaysia), IQHarvest Sdn. Bhd. (Malaysia) and Jamo (Denmark). At InventQjaya, he was key in building a world-class R&D and Start-up Incubation business funded by the Malaysian government. Larger companies have included Hewlett Packard and Agilent Technologies. In addition to management and consulting, Scott has served on two Boards of Directors, holds two patents and has authored or co-authored over 50 publications on technology, R&D and Technology and Business Management. He is a frequent speaker and instructor on management, technologies, trends and best practices in electronics and optical design and manufacturing.
During his long career at Hewlett Packard, he served as an R&D Lab Director, a Wafer Fab Operations Manager and in several other senior management positions. Scott was the founder and worldwide manager of the Process Consulting business for Hewlett Packard's Test and Measurement organization (now Agilent Technologies), based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Later he led the Supply Chain consulting practice for Hewlett Packard Consulting. Prior to HP, Scott worked for Lockheed, Physical Electronics Laboratories and Addington Labs. Before founding TechZecs, he was with Product Development Consulting, Inc., a high-end management consulting firm based in Boston specializing in new product development. As a consultant, he has helped many high-tech companies large and small in Europe, North America, Southeast Asia and Australasia.
Scott holds bachelor of science, master of science, and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of California (Berkeley and Santa Barbara). He is a senior member of The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and a member of Sigma Xi. He was one of the first industrial sponsors of the MIT Leaders for Manufacturing program.
