Dr. William H. Almond

Bill Almond is a 30-year veteran of the high technology businesses with a broad background in engineering, design, manufacturing, quality, sales and service supporting customers worldwide. Bill has managed companies ranging from startups to divisions of Fortune 500 companies. He has been involved in the global expansion of business and has successfully participated in moving his companies into strong relationships with major suppliers and customers in Europe and Asia. His emphasis on strategic planning, project management and tactical execution draw on his experiences to provide exceptional value to his clients.
Bill has successfully led product cost reductions, manufacturing throughput improvements, ISO implementations, supply chain streamlining, outsourcing guidance both domestically and overseas, market expansion through strategic relationships and sales increase through innovative solutions. Each has significantly improved the company profits and customer satisfaction. In a few cases, the results have turned companies from failure to profitable operation.
Bill’s experience began with Texas Instruments in the Semiconductor Research and Development Lab where his responsibilities included research into state of the art imaging concepts and the introduction and implementation into production of leading edge image generation and processing systems including direct electron beam imaging and reactive plasma etch of substrates. At the time he was Branch Manager in the VLSI Research Labs, Bill was recruited to manage a young company that was attempting to build commercial products for the growing semiconductor companies worldwide. He has held senior management positions with several capital equipment companies. He has served as member of the Board of Directors for TRE Semiconductor Equipment Corporation, MemTech Corporation, and Conceptronic, Inc as well as member of Boards of joint ventures with ICI Chemical of the UK and TEL in Japan. As an entrepreneur, he was co-founder and COO of MemTech Technology Corporation which purchased the Magnetic Bubble Division from Intel Corporation.
Bill has a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science and Ph. D. degrees in Physics and Math from Texas Tech University located Lubbock, Texas. He has presented and co-authored five seminars/books for clients, two of which are Texaco Oil and Refining and IBM Software. Bill is a certified Outsourcing Navigator under the auspices of Technical Forecasters, Inc and is an Executive Associate accredited by the Institute for Independent Business of London.
