Larry Pendergrass
Principal
 Larry Pendergrass has been a leader in the high tech industry for over 30 years, with 17 years in management and 14 years in science and engineering, working for companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Agilent Technologies, Keithley Instruments and Tektronix. He has worked in a wide range of industries such as Semiconductors and other Discrete Devices, Materials Research, Test and Measurement, Wireless, Medical Products and Software. His experience spans a diverse set of technologies such as Electronics, Optics, Acoustics and Magnetics. He has spent much of his career in Research and Development, but has also worked many years in Manufacturing and Marketing.
Larry has an M.S. in Physics from U.C. Davis (with a concentration in optics and solid state physics), Executive Business Training from Stanford Business School, and an Executive MBA from Case Western Reserve University.
Larry began his executive management career in 1995 working in manufacturing at Hewlett-Packard. The HP Way has heavily influenced Larry's management style over the years, but he is an avid reader and learns from the philosophies and practices of various business leaders. In 1999 Larry became Director of R/D for Agilent, delivering hardware and software for Wireless Network Service providers. In 2003, Larry became the Vice President of New Product Development for Keithley Instruments (now part of Tektronix). He focused the organization on improving R/D effectiveness, bringing in practices to improve cycle time, quality and innovation, and developing new technical competencies.
Larry's experience ranges from exotic materials, to RF and Microwave components and test equipment, to medical products, to products for wireless network service providers, to semiconductor test equipment, to ultra-low signal level DC switches, sources and receivers. His business specialties include corporate and product strategy, portfolio management, talent acquisition and management, NPI processes and R/D metrics, project valuation, fast cycle time development, platform management, innovation, change management, cross-geographic development and manufacturing, and acquisition targeting, valuation and roadmap integration.
